Services
Marine surveys in Palm Beach County, six ways of asking one question.
Is this vessel what it appears to be? We answer that on center consoles, sportfish, sailboats, motor yachts and commercial hulls from roughly 30 to 180 feet, from the pre-purchase decision to the technical end of corrosion and metal-hull work, at the marina, the yard or your dock.
The six services
-
Pre-Purchase Survey
The complete picture before you sign: structure, machinery, electrical, plumbing, safety systems, with sea trial and haul-out inspection when arranged. For buyers, and the lenders and insurers behind them.
-
Insurance Survey
Condition, Fair Market Value and Replacement Cost, documented in the form underwriters expect: for binding, renewing or updating coverage.
-
Condition & Valuation Survey
An independent read of the vessel's condition and value: for financing, refinancing, estate planning or simply establishing what it's worth.
-
Damage Survey
After the collision, grounding, storm, fire or lightning strike. What happened, how far it goes and what proper repair looks like. Followed through to completion, on request.
-
Corrosion Inspection
Galvanic and stray-current corrosion diagnosed at the source: bonding, anodes, hull potentials, shore power. ABYC Marine Corrosion Advisor work.
-
Ultrasonic Thickness Testing
Steel and aluminum plate measured, not guessed: hidden wastage found while it's still a maintenance item, not a structural one.
Moisture metering, thermal imaging and sea-trial testing are folded into any survey where they earn their place. If what you need isn't listed here, call anyway. Between the six, most jobs are covered, and we'll tell you which one fits.
Most reports land in 48 hours. Seventy-two at the outside. The surveyor who walked the deck writes the report, usually the same night.
Which survey
Six services, because there are six reasons to need one.
Each of the six answers a different situation: a purchase to close, an underwriter to satisfy, a value to establish, an incident to document, corrosion to trace or plate to measure. So the right one is usually decided by why you are asking, not by what it is called. If you are not sure which you are in, say so. That is the ordinary starting point, and one call settles it.
The next step
Tell us the boat. We’ll tell you the survey.
One call settles which survey you need, what it covers and when we can be alongside. Vessels from 30 to 180 feet, across South Florida and wherever they lie.
